From Corpus Christi in 2018 to Galveston in 2019, South Padre Island in 2021, Port Aransas in 2022, Houston in 2023, Corpus Christi in 2024, and the Houston Zoo in 2025, each symposium has been a milestone in shared knowledge, innovation, and dedication. These symposiums have served as vital platforms, bringing together professionals, scientists, students, and advocates to exchange insights, share groundbreaking research, and make connections. As we embark on the 8th annual symposium at Texas A&M University at Galveston in 2026, we carry forward the momentum of the past, guided by the lessons learned and the progress made in addressing the complex challenges posed by plastic pollution in the state of Texas.
